For permanent residence in Azerbaijan, foreigners and stateless persons must have real estate for 200 thousand manat or deposits in banks worth at least 200 thousand manat. This issue was reflected in the bill on amendments to the Migration Code, which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Legal Policy and State Building.
According to the amendment, the list of persons with permanent residence permit is sent to the relevant executive body to the corresponding bank within 3 business days. With a decrease in the amount of the urgent deposit of the persons specified in this list, to the level of less than 200 thousand manat or upon termination of the deposit agreement, the bank is obliged to submit information about this to the relevant executive body within 3 business days.
To obtain a temporary type of residence, the amounts of 100 thousand manat are considered acceptable.
