The restoration of the forest of Tophana, cut down by Armenians in 1988, said the head of the Forest Development Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Halygverdi Huseyn at a press conference on the results of the year.
He noted that last year new trees began to land on this territory. Also in this area were sowed seeds of trees:
“This process will be continued, and the tophana forest will be restored. Initially, we planted oak, hornbeam, trees with solid wood in this territory. Also, employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources conduct research. Depending on their results, the relevant authorities will be directed to the relevant authorities proposals. Employees of the ministry also carry out the process of creating green lanes in Lachina and Shush. For landscaping in the liberated territories from Turkey, 49 thousand seedlings were delivered, ”Huseynov said.
