The fifth world games of nomads, which will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, from September 8 to 14, are the largest event in the field of traditional sports. The president of the World Ethnosport Confederation Bilal Erdogan said this in an interview with an ANADOL agency correspondent.
According to Bilal Erdogan, he discussed preparations for the upcoming event during meetings with representatives of the Kazakhstan authorities during a visit to the country.
“I am the chairman of the Mazhilis (Parliament of Kazakhstan – Ed.) Yerlan Koshanov launched the countdown before the games,” he said.
The head of the Federation said that ticket sales are already launched. According to him, he was one of the first to purchase tickets for the fifth world -wires of nomads.
Bilal Erdogan added that a memorandum of understanding was signed between the federation and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, who has been signed in preparation for the game.
He recalled that the conduct of the World Nomad Games was initiated by the organization of the Turkic states (OTG). “Successful holding of games contributes to the spread and popularization of traditional sports in the world. This is our main mission,” he said.
According to him, the world’s world -wide games attract attention and countries outside the Turkic world.
He recalled that the games of nomads in the Turkish city of Iznik gathered more than 3 thousand athletes from 102 countries. “We strive to attract about 4 thousand athletes from more than 100 countries in Kazakhstan,” he said.
According to him, at games in Astana, competitions in 20 in traditional sports will be held, are national Kazakh.
Bilal Erdogan also emphasized the significance of the World Nomad Games for the development of the tourism industry.
