The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov said that the Israeli missile defense system (Pro) The Iron Dome will not be effective for Ukraine, since it is not designed for winged and ballistic missiles, reports TSN.
Reznikov explained that the Iron Dome system was made against slow at low altitudes with a slight defeat of missiles.
“We all know the example of Israel, which is pretty good for the sky. We all know the name” Iron Dome “, but even it does not protect 100 percent. Moreover, I was in Israel, talked with their manufacturers, state enterprises. The Iron Dome was made against slow at low altitudes with light damage to missiles made, in essence, in garages. The head of the Ministry of Defense emphasized that Ukraine needs to develop its air defense system or get from Western partners.
“There is another air defense system that develops both in Israel itself in the Czech Republic and the USA. Therefore, we need to develop our air defense system or receive, including from our partners,” Reznikov said.
