The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia announced the completion of the investigation of the criminal case against the prosecutor and judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“The Investigative Committee of Russia completed the investigation of the criminal case against the prosecutor and judges of the International Criminal Court, accused of violating Russian legislation related to the illegal prosecution of Russian citizens. This criminal case was opened immediately after the publication of the relevant information,” the Investigative Committee said in a statement RF.
According to the report, ICC prosecutor Khan Karim Assad Ahmad and ICC judges Tomoko Akane, Rosario Salvatore Aitala, Sergio Gerardo Ugalde Godinez, Haykel Ben Mahfud, as well as ICC Chairman Piotr Józef Hofmanski, his deputies Carranza Luz del Carmen Ibáñez, Bertram have been brought to criminal responsibility Schmitt, Rene Adelaide Sophie Alapini-Gansu.
“As part of the investigation, the prosecutor and eight ICC judges were charged in absentia under Part 2 of Article 299, Part 2 of Article 301, Part 1 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 360 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The accused were put on the international wanted list and arrested in absentia,” follows from the publication.
