On the territory of the ancient settlement of Harran, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List and is considered one of the oldest settlements in the history of mankind, archaeologists have discovered a ceramic ritual vessel related to the Middle Ages and dated approximately the XII century. Harran and the head of the excavations, told the Anadola agency that archaeological work in the area continues as part of the “Heritage for the Future” project, initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey.
ONAL recalled that Harran is one of the oldest settlements in the world and is often mentioned in historical sources. They allowed to detect important artifacts in the settlement.
The professor noted that in the area of the Harran Madrasah, a ritual vessel was found using laster (multi -stage firing) technology. This is the first such discovery in its kind, and, according to the professor, each find in this scientific monastery of the Middle Ages is of great importance.
according to him, the depth of the vessel is about 20 cm, and its surface is decorated with Arabic inscriptions, including the signature of the master who created this object. The preservation of
ONAL said that the outer surface of the vessel is brown, the internal is white, and the inscriptions are applied blue.

According to experts, it was used as a ritual vessel in the Belief of Barrow.
