The Main Directorate of the State Road Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan turned with a number of recommendations to persons organizing excursions and other trips with students.
“With the beginning of the summer season, the number of excursions and trips to the recreation areas with schoolchildren has significantly increased. However, unfortunately, when they are organized, the requirements in the field of road safety are not observed.
Unlike regular passenger transportation, irregular transportation is organized on the basis of oral agreements in which the technical condition of the bus is not taken into account, the driver has rights to drive a vehicle, as well as his professionalism, health status and other factors.
Transportation of passengers by buses to recreation areas, traffic routes to which are not defined in advance, in areas with mountainous terrain, on narrow roads, with sharp descents and climbs, as well as in the conditions of off -road, they create a danger of an emergency.
Given this, the Ministry of Internal Affairs took the necessary measures to increase the efficiency of work in this area. So, upon receipt from the departments of education to the internal affairs bodies, appeals associated with the transportation of students to recreation centers, provides for attention to the technical condition of buses, passenger capacity, the presence of drivers of vehicle management and other points, as well as if necessary, freely support by patrol Cars of the State Traffic Police, ”the appeal says.
