The State Corporation Rosatom and the Roscongress Foundation entered into an agreement on cooperation in the field of low -carbon energy.
According to the press service of the Roscongress Fund, the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Rosatom State Corporation and the Roscongress Foundation in the field of low-carbon energy was held as part of the XI Nevsky International Ecological Congress, which took place in the city of St. Petersburg on May 22-23.
Signatures on the document were set by the General Director of the State Corporation “Rosatom” Alexei Likhachev and the chairman of the board, director of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev.
The agreement is aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of the “green” agenda, namely, ensuring the carbon neutral of the measures carried out by the Roscongress Foundation. For these purposes, nuclear certificates from Russian nuclear power plants will be used, which have become available to consumers since mid -2024.
“is the national leader in the production of low -carbon atomic energy in the country, the” green “quality of the atom is in demand on the world market.” Green “certificates are widely used in many countries to achieve climatic goals, and we are glad that the atom can show its climatic efficiency through this relatively new instrument for our country,” said Alexei Likhachev.
“We are observing great interest in the issues of the eco -association and, following this trend, introduced the practice of confirming the” green “quality of our events. We are glad that Rosatom is ready to promote us in the development of this direction,” said Alexander Stuglev in turn.
As part of the implementation of the Agreement, the State Corporation Rosatom and the Roscongress Foundation plan to develop interaction on the issues of the “green” agenda and promote eco -enlightenment.
