The tanker MIDVOLGA-2 was attacked by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), but the ship did not receive serious damage.
The Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of Russia (Rosmorrechflot) reported this on Tuesday, December 2.
The agency clarified that the ship was attacked in the Black Sea at about 08.00 (GMT +03:00). “The superstructure of the ship received minor damage, there is no water leakage. There are no casualties on board, the ship is heading to the port of Sinop under its own power,” follows from the message.
Earlier, the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey reported that the tanker MIDVOLGA-2, which transmitted data about the attack 80 miles from the coast, is heading to the shores of Sinop.
