Rovshan Askurov will be checked after words about army of Russia

The Investigative Committee of Russia will check and give a legal assessment of the statements of the ex-player of the television game “What? Where? When” Rovshan Askurov about the Russian army, the department said in his Telegram channel.

The former expert may face a criminal case on discrediting the RF Armed Forces.

“Investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia will give a legal assessment of the statements of Rovshan Askerov, voiced in an interview with the Ukrainian YouTube Canal and sent against the Armed Forces of Russia,” the report said.

Recall that in April of this year, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case “On the rehabilitation of Nazism” against Rovshan Askurov. It was noted that Askerov published on his page on social networks “knowingly false information, insulting and defaming the memory of the Russian commander, Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov.” In May, Askerov was put on the wanted list by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
