Russia: 517 Flights Were Canceled Due To Attacks

Russia on July 19-22, due to attacks by the Ukrainian army to the capital, Moscow and St. Petersburg using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was canceled 517 flights.

The statement of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation provides information on the problems that arose at the airports of Moscow and St. Petersburg on July 19-22 due to attacks of Ukrainian drones.

As a result of the restrictions introduced in connection with the attacks, 75 thousand passengers of Moscow and St. Petersburg airports suffered, and 517 flights were canceled in total.

The statement emphasizes that on the indicated days more than 16 thousand tickets were returned, and 169 aircraft were sent to the airports of other cities.

Since July 19, the Ukrainian army has been striking from drones in various regions of the country, in particular in Moscow. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, drones were shot down by Russian air defense systems.
