Russia and Iran plan joint production of aircraft

On the Iranian Island of Kish, the 11th International Air Exhibition opened, on which 80 Iranian companies and 10 foreign companies from Russia, China and Ethiopia presented their latest achievements in the field of aircraft industry, Tasnim reports.

The deputy minister of industry, mines and trade of Iran Manechekhr Mantega said at the opening ceremony of the air show that Iran and Russia are discussing joint projects for the production of aircraft, helicopters, as well as the organization of air service.

“At the 11th Iranian International Aviation Service, the production of aircraft manufacturers of Russian aircraft with a capacity of 100 to 150 people is discussed, as well as cooperation in the design and production of aircraft for 70-100 people and Ka-226 helicopters in Iran,” Mantegs said .
