Russia and Kyrgyzstan create a combined air defense system

Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the proposal of the Government of the Russian Federation on the creation of the United Regional Air Defense System of the two states with Kyrgyzstan.

The corresponding order of the President of the Russian Federation of July 8 was published on Friday on the portal of legal information.

The document was entrusted with the Ministry of Defense with the participation of the Foreign Ministry to negotiate with the Kyrgyz side and sign the specified agreement with Bishkek.

Earlier in July, the Government of the Russian Federation approved the Ministry of Defense, agreed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and other interested federal executive bodies and the draft agreement between the two countries on the creation of the Air Defense STRA pre -worked out with Kyrgyzstan.

As the draft agreement says, “in order to improve air defense in the region, the parties create” ORS air defense of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, which is an integral part of the united air defense system of the CIS countries.

The list of troops (forces) allocated to the united regional system of air defense of the Russian Federation and Kyrgyzstan is approved jointly by the authorized bodies of the parties.

for the deployment of troops (forces) allocated by the Russian Federation in the Air Defense ORS, in the collective security area, Kyrgyzstan transfers to Russia for the period of this agreement for free of charge a land plot with an area of ​​5 hectares, the document says.
