Russia: businessman Aleksanyan in case of fraud

Court in the Amur Region of the Russian Federation until August 22 sanctioned the arrest of the general director of the Moscow construction company “RESPECT-CM” Alik Aleksanyan, who is accused of fraud by almost 60 million rubles during the construction of the East space, the law enforcement source reported.

“The Judge of the Annunciation Court of the Amur Region before August 22, elected a measure of restraint in the form of imprisonment against Alexanyan Alik Gamletovich, accused of fraud (part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in the amount of almost 60 million rubles,” TASS told Source.

It is noted that during the interrogation before arrest, the businessman declared his innocence and absurdity of the resulting multi-million fraud.

According to another source of TASS, the deputy Aleksanyan was previously concluded. “He was charged with another charge, but his criminal case is also associated with the embezzlement on the cosmodrome,” the source clarified. The case is investigating the investigative department of the SC of Russia in the Amur Region.

Earlier, the Kommersant newspaper reported that the investigative management of the SC in the Amur region opened two new criminal cases about fraud on the cosmodrome. It is alleged that in 2020, one of the contractors received for unfulfilled work on a complex of production and storage of rocket fuel components of 600 million rubles, and the other kidnapped 60 million, presenting fictitious documents. In October 2020, director of the Space Center “East” Roman Bobkov, who, together with the inspector of the 119th department of the State Architectural and Construction Supervision (GASN) of the Ministry of Defense, Dmitry Fomintsev was caught in fraud in the commissioning of three water intake structures on the Eastern.
