Russia closed entry to British

Russia closed entry for the UK representatives, “which are tightly involved in anti-Russian activities.”

Russia closed entry into the country for a number of representatives of Great Britain, “tightly involved in anti-Russian activity,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The names of these people did not call the authority.

The prohibition of entry became the answer to the sanctions that the UK introduced against a number of Russians in December 2020 and April 2021. These restrictions were associated with the persecution of members of the LGBT community in Chechnya and with Magnitsky’s business.
