In Russia, the digital gaming platform Roblox is blocked on charges of promoting terrorism and LGBT.
In a written statement, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technologies and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor) provides conclusions regarding the problems with access to Roblox that have arisen today.
The statement notes that access to Roblox in Russia is blocked: “The Roblox game promotes extremism, terrorist activities and LGBT.”
Roskomnadzor emphasizes that the game contains a large amount of inappropriate content, and also notes that children are occasionally subject to sexual harassment.
On the Roblox gaming platform, which has about 110 million daily users, the share of users under 9 years old is 20%, and the majority of users are under 16 years old.
