About a quarter of the portfolio of weapons orders of Russia falls on the countries of the Caspian region: Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan. This was said by the Russian media in the press service of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia (FSVTS) as part of the ADEX 2022 international defense exhibition, which takes place in Baku.
“to the countries of the Caspian region – Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan – accounts for about a quarter of the portfolio of orders,” the organization said.
The press service noted that “despite the current international military-political situation and the economic situation, cooperation between Russia and the countries of the Caspian region, in particular, with Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, are not stopped. Negotiations with partners are held on a regular basis” .
FSVTS noted that Russia is ready to activate relations with all countries of the region in all areas of mutual interest.
