Russia gave Belarus to loan delay

Russia gave Belarus a deferment for repayment of the obligation to state prices for 5-6 years, said the head of the Belarusian Ministry of Finance, Yuri Seliverstov. Reports about it TASS.

“discussed and proposed part of the payments to shift on more comfortable deadlines that are mutually acceptable for our countries, to shift them forward from five to six years,” said the Minister on the television channel “Belarus 1”. Seliverstov explained that the transfer of deadlines will allow Minsk “not to distract resources” to serve its obligations and repay them with Russian partners.

The head of the Ministry of Finance of Belarus added that part of the funds released from delay in Russian loans will be aimed at “support for those sectors that will allow (…) to improve mutual trade, especially in this sanction period.”
