Russia: Increased Import Duties From “unfriendly Countries” Were Canceled In Russia

The Government of the Russian Federation canceled increased import duties for medical nutrition from “unfriendly countries”.

“The government has decided to cancel the increased rates of import customs duties on the products of medical, dietary and specialized nutrition, the country of origin of which is the states and territories taking measures that violate the economic interests of Russia. The decree on this is signed,” is traced from the message.

Cabinet noted in the Cabinet of Ministers that “such products are necessary for premature and small newborns, as well as children and adults with various diseases, including metabolic disorders, diabetes, cystic fibrosis and oncology.”

“The decision is aimed at ensuring the diversity and increasing the availability of socially significant products in the Russian market,” the report said.
