Russia is letting in Caspian “Peter Great”

Astrakhan’s cruise route on the four -deck liner “Peter the Great” in the Caspian countries with a call in four ports will be able to use up to 30 thousand tourists annually. In the ports, according to the liner, it is planned to prepare the tourist infrastructure.

According to the governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin, 30 thousand people will be able to use the route annually. From our Caspian countries there is also an interest in starting cruises.

He clarified that in order to develop this direction of the region’s authority, the initiative was sent to the Federal Center for the construction of the Marine Station in Astrakhan, the investment declaration for the facility is currently being prepared. According to him, about 80 motor ships enter Astrakhan annually, it is on average 15-16 thousand tourists, but the potential of the region is multiplying higher.

“We made a proposal to unite all regions located along the Volga and create a single cruise route. This is a unique product for Russian and foreign tourists,” the governor explained.
