Turkey in April exported 326 thousand 20 tons of fresh vegetables and fruits in the amount of $ 235.7 million. This was announced by the head of the Association of Exporters of fresh vegetables and fruits of the Mediterranean Ferhat Guryuz.
“Our Association supported the export of the country in the amount of $ 99 million,” he said.
The most in April was exported by tomato (an increase of 16 percent) in the amount of $ 69.3 million. In addition, pepper in the amount of $ 28.8 million was received from Turkey. Deliveries also increased by 16 percent. And the export of lemon last month increased by 12 percent – to $ 28.5 million.
According to him, the main importer of fresh Turkish fruits and vegetables last month was Russia. The export of fresh fruits and vegetables from Turkey in the Russian Federation last month increased by 25 percent – up to $ 58.1 million.
The top three of the main importers of these products also included Romania and Ukraine.
deliveries to Romania increased by 30 percent – to $ 35.1 million, in Ukraine – by 40 percent to $ 19.6 million.
