Russia refused to Iranian pepper and Turkish grenade

Russia from November 17, 2021 suspended the importation of pepper and pomegranates from Turkey, and from December 10 – the import of Turkish grapes is reported on the website of Rospotrebnadzor.

The agency notes that from October 27 to December 7, six types of food agricultural products were revealed from 33 producers from Turkey and Iran, including lemons, tangerines, peppers, grapes and pomegranates, which contained residual quantities of 12 pesticides, 10 of which are not permitted For use in Russia.

It is emphasized that as a result, about 60 thousand tons of Turkish grapes and more than 10 thousand tons of pomegranates were not allowed to be imported into the territory of the country.
