Russia wants to use an Iranian spying companion for Ukraine

In the sixth month of the war, Russia intends to spy on Ukraine with the help of the Iranian reconnaissance satellite “Hayam”. This is reported by The Washington Post.

The satellite will be launched on August 9 from the Baikonur cosmodrome using the Soyuz rocket.

Iran plans to use it for espionage in the Middle East. The Russian Federation agreed to build a canopus -v system for Hayam – it will be equipped with a high resolution camera, which will allow Tehran to almost continuously monitor important objects in Iran and Persian Gulf.

According to the publication, Russia informed Iran about the intention to independently use a satellite to observe goals in Ukraine for several months or longer.

Western representatives of the law enforcement agencies noted that the satellite camera has a resolution of 1.2 meters, which significantly expands Iran’s capabilities, in particular, due to the possibility of “entrust” the new satellite to conduct continuous control of the selected places, officials noted.
