Russia will increase gas transit through Ukraine

Russian Gazprom increased transit through the Ukrainian gas transmission system, while the power of the pipe “Yamal – Europe” remains unclaimed, writes RIA Novosti.

Since the beginning of 2022, the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine fell almost twice. However, since the end of January, Gazprom has increased pumping, and on February 1, it turned out to be close to maximum contractual obligations (106.7 million cubic meters). Later, the figure declined and was in the range of 80-90 million cubes. The application for February 7 shows 107.8 million cubic meters. Maximum contractual obligations “Gazprom” are equal to about 109 million.

Yamal – Europe’s power, which is one of the main fuel supplies routes to Europe, remain unclaimed by the company neither on regular or intraday auctions. The gas pipeline works in reverse mode.
