Russian Air Force struck Idlib: 9 peaceful Syrians died

Russia applied a aircraft in the zone of de -escalation of tension in the Syrian Idlib: according to preliminary data, nine civilians were killed, another 30 were injured.

According to sources of the Syrian opposition, three aircraft of the Russian VKS took to the air from the Khmeimim Air Force base in the province of Lazkiye at 10.03 local time. Air strikes underwent a vegetable market in the center of the city of Jisr-Esh-Shugur.

According to the Civil Defense Department of Syria (White Helmets), strokes were also struck at the administrative center of Idlib and the village of Bainin.

The victims are hospitalized. There are fears that the number of victims may increase.

The situation in Idlib

Turkey, Russia and Iran following a meeting in Astana on May 4-5, 2017 reached an agreement on the formation of four de-escalation zones in Syria, three of which subsequently passed under the control of the Bashar Assada regime.

The zones were created in the Eastern Guta (suburb of Damascus), some areas in the north of the province of Homs, the province of Idlib with coverage of a number of regions of the provinces (Latakia, Hama and Aleppo).
