Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday, August 22, arrived in Johannesburg in South Africa for the Brix summit.
The aircraft of the Russian Foreign Minister landed on the basis of the South African Air Force Waterkloof on the outskirts of Praetory. The head of Russian diplomacy was met in South Africa by folk dancing.
Lavrov will present the Russian delegation at the event.
Today in the South African Republic, in the city of Johannesburg, the 15th Summit of BRICS-an interstate association, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, will begin.
The event will end on August 24th.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will take a full-format participation in the Summit on the video conferences. Among other things, the Russian leader will inform its participants about the priorities of the chairmen of the Russian Federation in the association of 2024.
