Russia, due to the actions of the United States, can deviate from the moratorium on the placement of terrestrial and lower range missiles. This was stated in an interview with TASS as director of the Department for non -proliferation and control of weapons of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Ermakov.
As for the missile weapons of American production, potentially capable of appearing in the Asia -Pacific region (Asia -Pacific region), including the territory of Japan, its high -speed characteristics are far from the only criterion by which we will evaluate such deployments, Yermakov said.
Nevertheless, according to him, the range of missile systems is no less important.
“In particular, the readiness of Russia will continue to adhere to a unilateral moratorium on the placement of medium and lower -range missiles in certain regions of medium and shorter range. But now we can say with confidence that destabilizing military programs in certain regions. The United States and their allies make our moratorium more and more fragile – in relation to both the Asia -Pacific region and to Europe, ”added the diplomat.
