The Russian soldier, who introduced himself to the Babay, told Reuters that the clearance process could take about two weeks.

The Russian BBC service recalls that the Ukrainian military, including the Azov regiment, kept the defense of Azovstal for almost three months. On Friday, the Azov leadership reported that the Ukrainian command ordered the military to stop resistance in order to save the life of the fighters. After that, they left the territory of the plant. The Russian authorities claim that more than 1900 troops from Azovstal surrendered. Ukrainian officials use the word “evacuation”.
