The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation conducted the “Operation of Retribution” in response to the “criminal blow of the Kyiv regime” under the clause of the temporary deployment of the RF Armed Forces in Makeevka. This was announced at a briefing on January 8 by the representative of the Russian military department Igor Konashenkov.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian military struck the open points of the AFU deployment in the dormitories of Kramatorsk. “More than 600 Ukrainian military personnel have been destroyed,” Konashenkov says.
In total in hostels, notes the Russian department, there were more than 1300 APU military personnel.
Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities reported that on the night of January 8, Russian troops struck seven missile strikes in Kramatorsk, destroying the buildings of two educational institutions. The dead were not reported.
