Russian swimmer Nikolai Svechnikov went missing in the Istanbul Strait during participation in the 37th intercontinental swim organized by the National Olympic Committee of Turkey.
Parting through the Stambul Stamble with the participation of 2820 athletes from 81 countries took place on the eve of the day. They began the search operation immediately after receiving information that the Russian swimmer Nikolai Svechnikov could not get to the finish line on the shore.
Rescue teams continue to search for an athlete, concentrating in the area of the Prince of Kanlyja-Kurucheshm, as well as throughout the Istanbul Strait.
