The delegation of the Azerbaijani Parliament in Italy, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Milli Majlis Sakhiba Gafarova on May 18th, visited a monument to the genius of the Azerbaijani poet and the thinker Nizami Ganjevi in the famous Park “Villa Borghese” in Rome, reports haqqin.az.
Recall that this monument was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On holding a 870-year-old anniversary of the ingenious poet and the thinker of Azerbaijan by Nizami Ganjevi” from December 23, 2011. By virtue of the same decree, the opening of this monument took place in April 2012 with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation as part of a series of events dedicated to the anniversary Nizami Ganjevi.
