Sahib Gafarova met with Chairman of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan

Delegation under the leadership of the Chairman of the Milli Majlis Sakhiba Gafarova is located in St. Petersburg to participate in the Spring Session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

As reported by Haqqın.az in the Department of Public Relations and Press Milli Majlis, as part of the visit, the Chairman of Milli Majlis Sahib Gafarov held a meeting with the chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of Kyrgyzstan Talent Mamytov.

at the meeting it was noted that today various political and economic reforms are successfully implemented in Azerbaijan. Large transnational projects, as well as the construction of oil and gas pipelines, created opportunities for growth – both in our country and in partner countries. At the same time, the restoration of the Great Shelkovaya Path is extremely important both for Azerbaijan and for countries located on this strategic transport artery.

Touching the topic of relations between the two parliaments, S. Gafarov emphasized the importance of the activities of the Friendship groups and marked the importance of fruitful cooperation between the two sides under the auspices of international parliamentary organizations.

S.Gafarov said that in the 44th day Patriotic War Azerbaijan freed his territories from the occupation by fulfilling the relevant UN resolutions.

t. Mamytov noted that his country attaches great importance to the development of connections with Azerbaijan, and the current situation is favorable for their deepening. Added that and our relations at the parliamentary level contribute to the intensification of cooperation in the rest of the spheres. Regular meetings of deputies of the two Parties and their joint participation in the work of various international platforms are common interests.

T.Mamytov expressed appreciation to Azerbaijan for helping Kyrgyzstan in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking about the results of a referendum conducted in Kyrgyzstan, he said that this referendum will play a crucial role in the future development of his country.
