Chairman of Milli Majlis Sahib Gafarov as part of an official visit to Slovakia met with the Chairman of the National Council of this country by Boris Kollarir.
During the meeting, Boris Collar noted that Slovakia gives very great importance to the development of connections with Azerbaijan.
In turn, Sahib Gafarov noted that this is the first visit of Speaker Milli Majlis in Slovakia and that there is a good potential for the development of bilateral and multilateral relations between the countries.
Sahib Gafarov touched on the energy policy of Azerbaijan and stressed the role of the country in the European Energy Property Architecture. The speaker told about the Patriotic War, during which Azerbaijan freed his territories. At the same time, she noted that Armenia still did not provide Azerbaijan with mining fields, which is a gross violation of international humanitarian law.
Participated at the meeting, Chairman of the Committee of the Milli Majlis Zahid Oruj and the head of the Working Group on Inter-Parliamentary Relations with Slovakia Anar Mamedov shared their considerations about the importance of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
