A working visit to Tashkent, the chairman of the Milli Majlis Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarov met with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to Haqqın.az in the Public Relations and Press Relations Department of Milli Majlis, during the meeting a high level of bilateral relations and a special role of the presidents of both countries in the development of cooperation between Baku and Tashkent were noted. A powerful incentive in the development of relations was the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan in June of this year. This visit marked a new stage in the relationship between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Mutual trips of high levels and close contacts create ample opportunities for even more strengthening the relations of two friendly and fraternal states, noted at the meeting.
The President of Uzbekistan emphasized the significance of inter -parliamentary cooperation for the development of bilateral relations, pointed out the need to further expand ties in this area.
After a meeting with the President of Uzbekistan, Sahib Gafarova gave an interview to Uzbek television, sharing thoughts about the participation of the Azerbaijan delegation in the 14th summit of the female rescuers of parliaments, as well as the current state and prospects of the Azerbaijani-Uzbek connections.
