Sakhil Babaev discussed development of bilateral ties with Romania

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, co-chairman of the joint Azerbaijani-Romanian interdiscipline for trade and economic ties and scientific and technical cooperation Sakhil Babaev met in video format with the Minister of Energy of Romania, co-chairman of the interdirmy-pro-rights committee with Virgil-Daniel Popescu.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies, Sakhil Babaev stated during Azerbaijan and Romania strategic partnership relations, drew attention to the successful cooperation of the two countries both on bilateral basis and within the framework of international and regional organizations.

Popescu, in turn, expressed satisfaction by the fact that strategic cooperation between Romania and Azerbaijan, based on friendly relations, is constantly developing in all areas.

During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on the further deepening of cooperation in the field of energy, the transportation of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Romania, the participation of Romania in the project of underwater electric and digital communication of the Black Sea.

Important logistics and transit advantages of the “Middle Corridor” project were noted. The issues of the development of bilateral relations in the field of logistics were discussed, it was stated that the expansion of cooperation between the Baku International Sea Port and the Sea Port of Constanta is of particular importance in the development of bilateral relations in the field of logistics.

The parties affected the importance of the ALATIST FREE ECONOMIC Zone, cooperation in the field of agriculture, trade, investment, modern technologies and other areas, and also discussed the exchange of experience in applying the DOST concept.
