Azerbaijan conducts consistent socially oriented policies. The Azerbaijani citizen is located in the center of work and decisions, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the population of Sakhil Babayev during the discussion of the GOSBYUD-2022 project at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committees on Youth and Sports, Labor and Social Policy, Agricultural Policy, Regional Affairs, Natural resources, energy and ecology.
According to the minister, the social protection of Azerbaijani citizens will be constantly improved: “Over the past three years, the minimum pension has grown from 110 to 200 manat, and the amount of address state social assistance is 81 percent.”
Sakhil Babayev added that only two packages of social reforms adopted in 2019 have covered about four million people.
