Sakhil Babayev: New social package will cover more than 2 million people

In 2022, a social package will begin in Azerbaijan, which will cover more than two million people. Thus, social benefits will grow. This as reported by Haqqin.az said the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sakhil Babaev at the Collegium College.

The Minister noted that this will be a continuation of reforms, which are held in recent years in the social sphere on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev.

He stressed that in accordance with the declaration of the state of the state “on additional measures in the field of social welfare of the population” in the draft state budget for 2022, reforms were taken into account on the increase in social benefits.

“will increase wages of most of the citizens working under the employment contract. This reform will cover to one million employees. In particular, the minimum wages will increase. Since the beginning of 2022, the size of social payments – pensions, benefits, scholarships, salaries, social assistance will grow up. What will cover more than two million people, “said the minister.

According to S. Babayev, in 2022, in addition to the growth of minimal pensions, it is planned to increase pensions based on indexation.

The minister also said that since the beginning of 2021, 2,500 members of the family of Shekhid, disabled people and citizens from other socially vulnerable categories were provided with apartments, and 164 disabled people at the expense of the state budget – passenger cars.

The collegium was also charged with speeding up the work on the creation of a labor protection center under the civil service department.

In addition, it was noted that since the beginning of this year, disabilities were appointed almost 51 thousand citizens.

Eight thousands of citizens with disabilities were provided with more than 40 thousand prosthetic and orthopedic and other rehabilitation funds, 164 military personnel with amputated upper or lower limbs were provided with 173 modern fourth-generation prostheses.
