In the first six months of 2025, world sales of electric vehicles increased by 28% in relation to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 9.1 million units.

It is reported that in June the current total sales of electric cars and connected hybrids increased by 24% compared to the same period last year, reaching 1.8 million cars.
According to the results of the first half of 2025, China became an unconditional leader in electric vehicles. For six months of world sales, 5.5 million electric vehicles had to be saved by electric vehicles in China from January to June 2025 by 32% in annual calculation. It is expected that high growth rates of electric vehicles in the country will remain in the second half of the year.
In January-June 2025, the sale of electric vehicles in Europe added 26 %, reaching 2 million units.
Electric vehicles in North America (USA, Canada and Mexico) fell to 3%. During the period under consideration, only 900 thousand units of electric cars were sold in this region.
In the rest of the world, sales of electric vehicles over this period increased by 40 percent, reaching 700,000 units.
In other regions of the world, the total sales of electric vehicles and plugin of hybrids amounted to 40%in the first six months of 2025, amounting to 700 thousand cars.
