Sandu: Moldova’s entry into EU depends on success of judicial reform

The statements were made at an event dedicated to the launch of the project of justice and the fight against corruption (JARA) financed by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in the amount of six million US dollars.

Maya Sandu thanked the USAID deputy administrator Erin McCa and the US ambassador to Moldova Kent D. Logsdon for significant support in the amount of about two billion dollars, which the US government and USAID have provided Moldova over the past three decades in many important areas, including justice. The head of state praised the contribution of American partners to the reform of justice, including an extraordinary external assessment of judges and prosecutors.
