Sargsyan refused to be elected to parliament

The third President of Armenia and the leader of the Republican Party did not want to be in the proportional list of the “Honor” block, because she had previously promised not to occupy high government positions. The ex-president declared on Briefing in Yerevan, the Armenia satellite reports.

“Do not be in the list does not mean not to participate in the elections. Everyone who heads the lists claims to be high, and I have already stated that I will no longer borrow them. I will help with advice. I think that I completed the civil service,” – he said.

he added that the proportional list was formed on the basis of a partnership of two political forces.

Note that extraordinary parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia on June 20. The Republican Party of Armenia and the Party “Fatherland” signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the “Honor” block. The proportional list is headed by the leader of the Fatherland Arthur Vanetyan, and the pre-election headquarters – the Republican David Harutyunyan.
