A meeting on water resources assessment was held in Az оценкеrcosmos on the initiative of Virtual Azerbaijan Group of Companies, the main purpose of which was to study water resources of Azerbaijan using satellite images, analyze and correctly process information about groundwater sources.
The parties discussed satellite images of our country’s water resources, as well as research in this area on 16 different parameters.
It was noted that currently in Azerbaijan traditional methods are used to determine groundwater resources, which requires more resources, both time and financial.
Azersky satellite images, modern analysis and monitoring tools will allow us to determine the location of our country’s water resources, especially groundwater, with an accuracy of 80-95%. This, in turn, will lead to the identification of water resources in our country and their efficient use.
