Saudi Crown Prince turned to Iran

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Muhammad Ben Salman called on Iran to cooperate with other countries of the Middle Eastern region and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), resuming the fulfillment of the 2015 nuclear transaction. According to TASS, the Crown Prince said this at the summit of the Cooperation Council of the Arab states of the Persian Gulf in Gidda.

“We are calling for Iran, with the people of which we are united by general religious and cultural ties, to cooperate with the countries of the region … adhering to the principles of international law, non -interference in the internal affairs of other countries, interacting with the international agency for atomic energy and fulfilling the obligations” ” – he said.

The relations of the two countries worsened in 2015 after the beginning of the coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, a military operation in Yemen against the Ansar Allah movement (Husita). Both countries have repeatedly evaluated each other’s actions as attempts to destabilize the situation in the region. Since 2021, Iran and Saudi Arabia are negotiating the normalization of relations.
