Law enforcement agencies convicted the adviser to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine (on a voluntary basis) in the seizure of funds intended for the purchase of goods for the Ukrainian army.
This was announced in his Telegram channel the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
“With the procedural leadership of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s office, the adviser to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine (on a voluntary basis) in the possession of funds on an especially large amount (part 5 of article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is exposed and notified of suspicion,” the department said in a statement from the department .
According to the investigation, an adviser in conspiracy with the director of the enterprise took possession of funds received under contracts for the supply of military goods for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“these funds were allocated by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Such actions were inflicted on the state more than 1.7 billion hryvnias ($ 40 million 437.15 million) damage,” the message is indicated.
Pre -trial investigation is carried out by the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
