Scientist found new manuscript Galileo Galileo

A scientist from the University of Michigan found out that the treatise of 1606 Libro Della Thoughzione Astronomica turned out to be a genuine manuscript of Galileo Galileo. It was previously believed that the treatise is a fake, and its real author was Alimberto Mauri, writes Medievalists.net.

The researcher believes that the great scientist who loved to use pseudonyms was a real author of an old treatise. The proof of this was the statement of the scientist about his colleague Lodovico Della Colombe.

The latter was of the opinion that the stars are moving around the Earth, so he criticized Galileo, who believed that the stars and earth were moving around the Sun.

In the treatise of 1606, the author mentions the theses “in which Della Colombee is contemptuous to him.” All of them are a reference to the assumptions of Galileo, criticized by the philosopher. Based on this, the scientist concluded that the real author of the manuscript Libro Della Thoughzione Astronomica was Galileo Galileo.
