Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić has met in Strasbourg with Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
They have discussed co-operation in the culture, heritage and landscape field, as well as media, anti-discrimination and the protection of the rights of persons belonging to national minorities.
The Secretary General has congratulated the Minister on the accession of Ukraine to the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes in 2021. During the meeting, the Minister has also signed the revised Convention of the Council of Europe on Cinematographic Co-Production. The purpose of the revised Convention is to provide a legal and financial framework for the co-production of feature-length films involving production companies established in three or more states Parties.
