Secretary Of Council Of Security Of Russian Federation Arrived In Pyongyang On Special Removal Of Putin

Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu arrived in the capital of North Korea, the city of Pyongyang on a special instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, according to Tuesday, June 17, Russian state media.

“Shoigu arrived in Pyongyang on a special assignment of the President to conduct negotiations with the DPRK leadership as part of the implementation of the agreements reached during the last visit. These agreements are implemented within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership of the Russian Federation and the DPRK,” the message was indicated.

A visit to North Korea has become the third for Shoigu in the last three months. At the last meeting, which took place on June 4, Shoigu and the head of the DPRK discussed the situation in Ukraine and the restoration of the Kursk region.

The parties also discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral relations between Russia and the DPRK in accordance with the signed agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Before that, the Secretary of the SB of the Russian Federation visited the DPRK on March 21. Then he was also accepted by Kim Jong -un. Shoigu reported that he handed over to the leader of the DPRK the message of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, discussed issues regarding Ukraine, and the beginning of the dialogue of Russia and the USA.
