Senior Afghan Official To Hold Talks In India

The Afghan government has announced that Deputy Foreign Minister Emirkhan Muttaqi will visit India’s capital Delhi for the first time since 2021 at the invitation of Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

According to Afghan Foreign Ministry Deputy Spokesperson Hafiz Zia Ahmed Takal, who posted a message on US Company X’s social media account, Muttaki will visit India for the first time since 2021.

During the visit, at the invitation of Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, scheduled for October 9-16, Muttaki will meet with his Indian counterpart, as well as other senior officials.

During the negotiations, the parties will discuss political, economic and trade developments in region.
