Service “Children’s Hotline” began cooperation with Ministry of Emergency Situations

“Children’s hotline” functioning with Azercell support opens up new opportunities to protect children from accidents

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MOE) Added to the list of government agencies collaborating with the children’s hotline of Azerbaijan, created and functioning with the support of Azercell Telecom LLC. Within the framework of the new cooperation, which started in March, the appeal of children and adolescents in the service “112” of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be automatically redirected to the Children’s Hotline.

Citizens, including children and elderly, devoid of support, often make calls to the hot line “112” MES. In view of this, such cooperation is important from the point of view of the assistance of a minor who provided in a difficult life situation, in order to prevent possible accidents, as well as the provision of immediate professional assistance to adolescents faced with psychological pressure and violence.

Hotline “112” Ministry of Emergency Situations At any time of the day takes free calls coming from stationary phones (PBX), all types of taxophones and through mobile operators.

Annually, the children’s hotline of Azerbaijan provides free assistance to thousands of children and adolescents encountered with various difficulties. The service aimed at protecting children from psychological and physical injuries, in elderly years working in collaboration with the public association of social initiatives Ümidli Gələcək, the representative office of UNICEF in Azerbaijan and government agencies involved in the problems of children. During this period, the children’s hotline of Azerbaijan responded to more than 53,000 appeals. All calls entering the center are considered by lawyers, psychologists and social workers. Applied to the necessary advice, and in some cases they are redirected to the relevant authorities. Professional employees of the Center also include emergency psychological assistance to children and their families affected by ill-treatment.
