The preliminary investigation in the criminal case of members of the Armenian Armed Forces, which committed terrorist provocations and other criminal actions in the territory of Azerbaijan, is reported by the SGB site.
The report says that after reaching the cease-fire as a result of a tripartite agreement of November 10, the Armenian armed formations of the secret paths spawned themselves to the territory of Azerbaijan and occupied positions in the forest terrain in the north-west of the village of Gadrut KhojaVan District. Armenian armed formations committed terrorist and sabotage actions against Azerbaijani military personnel and civilians. They were disarmed on December 13 as a result of SGB special operation.
“Members of these formations 26-27 November 2020 illegally crossed the state border of Azerbaijan with organized groups, having taking combat positions in the forest and other areas of the north-western part of the village of Gadrut Khojavendsky district, during the period until December 13, 2020 committed armed raids on enterprises , Management, organizations, as well as individuals located on the territory of the country violated public security, created a panic among the population. In order to influence decision-making by the state authorities of Azerbaijan and international organizations, explosions, fires and other terrorist acts are committed by a threat. The death of people, causing harm to their health, causing significant property damage and the onset of other socially dangerous consequences.
In connection with the facts of the member of the illegal armed formation of Avakyan, Arzumanovich, Serobyan Gegham Samvevovich and the other, only 14 accused, were charged under articles about terrorism, storage of weapons, illegal crossing of the state border, etc.
With regard to other accused, which are members of the aforementioned armed formation, a preliminary investigation of the relevant criminal cases is completed and familiarized with the materials of the case, “the report says.
