The operational and investigative activities of the State Security Service (SGB) of Azerbaijan continue against persons involved in activities in the ranks of illegal armed formations outside the country, the press service of the department reports.
As a result of the investigation conducted by the SGB bodies, the grounds were established for suspicion that the citizens of Azerbaijan – Seymour Citizens Alish Oglu (born in 1976) and Novrubeks Elkhan Amenulla oglu (born in 1970), leaving the country, arrived first to the city Tehran (Iran), and from there illegally moved to the territory of other foreign countries in order to participate in military exercises and armed conflicts in the composition of illegal armed formations.
In the course of the investigation, it turned out that Huseynov was part of the illegal armed formation headed by the face of the nickname “Abuser”, and Novrubekov – to the composition of the illegal armed formation, led by Gasyamov Gazanfarph.
Huseynov and Novorabekov were found guilty of Article 12.1, 279.1 (participation in the activities of armed formations not provided for by law) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
